Tabitha's Story
Tabitha Mahan has been working at The Arc of Northern Bristol County for three years, assisting Trudy at the front desk. The job skills she’s learned at The Arc helped her to recently attain another job at Target. She writes of her new job:
“I like my new job folding the clothes. I have experience with that a lot at home. At first, I couldn’t tell or understand the color of each label on the clothes. I thought with the Clearance section that the clothes had to match. I had a couple of bad days, but I got through them. Every time my shift is over, I look forward to going back to Target.”

We are a local affiliate of a state-wide and national advocacy organization formed in 1959 by a small group of parents concerned about the quality of life for their family members with disabilities.
